Without further ado, I present first of all a link one of my co-workers shared with me.
How to track tweets and likes with analytics From SocialMediaExaminer.com. They are new on my RSS feed and I don’t know how I missed them. Over 130k subscribers?! And it’s easy to see why with the quality of this post by Tim Ware. I have been wondering of late how we could get more usable data from these features, and this sums it up.

Next up is a post on the mighty Mashable: 3 Ways to Optimize Search on Your Ecommerce Site by the intrepid Stephanie Buck. A nice short SEO article perfect for those starting out with running their own ecommerce site. Probably stuff the more experienced among us know, but perfect to share with clients, friends, family, or a great read as a reminder or if you’re not so experienced yourself!

The third on this weeks SEO hidden gem round up is one that could easily have fallen through the cracks: Much Ado About Social Media Followers Who (May) Turn Into Customers. It’s hard for some of us to assign a dollar value to twitter followers. Apparently it’s not so hard for some companies as is shown in the article. I feel this is an absolute must read for a number of reasons and will only become more relevant as time goes by.

Number four is from one of my favorites, SEJ:Do This, Not That: SEO Content Edition!. A very quick 3 point read with some nice tips for bloggers using a “this not that” comparison with things we already should be doing. A good one to bookmark when you need a little inspiration.

The fifth is from Slingshotseo on Saving the Infographic – and endangered SEO species. Another short one but offers some nice pointed tips to those who are considering using info-graphics to get the most out of it.

That’s my 5 for the last week or so. But you know I believe in giving a little something extra … so here’s the BONUS link for the week! From SEOmoz (who you should be following anyway) here is a great article on a point that can’t be overstated: Irresistable click worthy titles. This is a longer post but is packed with pictures and data that will drive the point home.

Hope you enjoy these as much as I did! Oh and one more thing, on sort of a personal note. Really a tip from me to you. Don’t be stingy with commenting on a post you like, you never know what commenting can do from you. I enjoyed a completely unexpected spike in traffic this week because I left a comment on a Sitepoint article about 5 Reasons Prospects Don’t Like Your Website. Next thing I know the author Miles Burke creates another post based around my comment! How cool is that! So yeah, share the love people! It comes back to you! I’m done preaching for today. Enjoy your weekend.
